MEMBERSHIP FEES FOR 2011/2012 SEASON:
As Swimming Victoria have increased their membership fees for the coming season, it is necessary for GCA to increase our membership fee. GCA absorbed the increase in fees last year and it has been two years since the membership fee has changed.
The membership fees for the 2011/12 (1st of May 2011 - 30th of April 2012) season will be:
Competitive Swimmer aged 13 years and over (age as at 1st of May 2011) - $145
Competitive Swimmer aged under 13 (age as at 1st of May 2011) - $110
Non-competitor - $70
Committee member - $22
SQUADS AT NORLANE:
The squads at Norlane are now being named to differentiate the different groups and days and training requirements of each swimming group. This will also assist Lucky to write programs accordingly for each squad and is appropriate to their level of fitness, ability and upcoming competitions.
The names of the squads are as follows:
WHALES : Whales: up to 7 swims per week plus 2 gym sessions.
Objective: The goal of the Whales squad is Age Nationals and Open Nationals
- Whales Gold - aiming for open Nationals
- Whale Silver - aiming for age Nationals
- Whales Bronze - aiming for Open States
Available training sessions
MARLINS: Up to 5 swims per week.
Objective: The goal of the Marlins squad is State Finals
- Marlin Gold - aiming required training parameters to be promoted to Whales Bronze
- Marlin Silver- State or country qualifiers in their ages ( 11 & under)
- Marlin Bronze - aiming for country times
Available Training sessions
SEALS: Up to 3 swims per week.
Objective: The goal of the Seals squad is Country Victorian Championships final.
- Seals Gold - aiming country times and training to train
- Seals Silver - Learning basic stroke technique including starts and turns
- Seals Bronze - Less competent swimmers Learning basic stroke technique including starts and turns

Pool entry/pool membership is also required to be paid at reception for all squads.

Remember training fees are in addition to the membership fee and are paid by Direct Debit and you should refer to the committee for this fee structure.
