THIRD STAGE SWIMMER

Swimmers go through some crazy opportunities and stages of learning, training and performing to become great swimmers.

Firstly swimmers perform for their parents, seeking approval, attention or love via sport. Parents can really mess this stage by creating pressure or even living vicariously through their kids.

Secondly the swimmers perform for the coach and this can be the final stage for many. Coaches can dominate their athletes, demanding performance.

The third and final stage is where an athlete performs for themselves, taking responsibility for their own level of training, knowing their limitations and developing their knowledge base (swimmer as a coach).
With this third stage, the highest level of performance comes: self actualisation. This third level is where you find the Olympians.  Here every opportunity is explored and utilised by the third stage swimmer.

If you want to be the best at whatever, then be the best:

STOP THROWING AWAY OPPORTUNITIES.

Use them.  Work harder and smarter than others.
